HOW IT WORKS
Overview: A funeral home is a time critical business. You may only have hours to assemble a personalized and meaningful service for your families. Memorial tribute videos are an integral part of honoring and celebrating a life lived.
At Legacy DVD, we have created a process that allows you to create a moving tribute video for each of your services. Our website interface allows you to upload your client family's photos, send your order and download your completed tribute through our secure servers.
Because we guarantee to have your completed tribute ready for download within 12-24 hours, you can be sure you'll have it in time for the service.
We offer tributes in two different formats, DVD and
MPEG2 for Compact Flash® or USB thumb drive.
With the DVD format you will burn the tribute onto DVD from your computer. Don't worry about printing DVD jackets or labels. This DVD is for playback at the service only and is not intended to be presented to the family. We silkscreen the personalized DVD at our studios and ship completed videos in a metal case to your funeral home or directly to your client families.
The MPEG2 format allows you to display your tributes on a multimedia digital frame taking advantage of the huge selection of picture frames. They range in size from 15" to 37" frames and are less expensive to setup in your funeral home than a plasma TV and DVD player.. The advantage the compact flash format has over the DVD format is the file size that download is much smaller resulting in a very fast download. Also, there are no DVD's to burn or stock. You simply download the file from our servers directly to the card and then slide into your digital picture frame. That's it! We still ship the personalized DVD and case to your funeral home or directly to your client families. Simply delete the file on the card after the service and reuse on the next tribute. These cards are inexpensive and can also be played on a television monitor with an adapter.
STEP ONE - SCAN THE PHOTOGRAPHS
Once the family have selected the photographs they want used, they bring them into the funeral home where they are scanned and uploaded to our secure file transfer interface. With batch scanning you are able to scan as many photos that will fit on the scanning bed, usually 4-6. Next, go online and login to the client area where you will place the order and upload your folder of images.
STEP TWO - WE CREATE YOUR TRIBUTE
Once we receive your photos, our skilled multimedia technicians begin working on your order. They first start by carefully examining each photo and correcting color, red eye removal and adjusting the brightness. We understand the best tributes require the best possible images. The photos are masterfully placed over the chosen background theme and movement and transitions are added for visual interest. The tribute is then branded with your company information, scored with your chosen music and finally special effects are added. After designing the one-of-a-kind DVD cover for the DVD, your completed tribute is uploaded to website interface.
STEP TWO - DOWNLOAD AND BURN TO DVD OR COPY TO YOUR MEMORY CARD
After your video is completed, you'll receive an email
with a link to download file and transfer to your
media of choice. This is the tribute that is used for viewing at the funeral
home. Your printed DVD and case along with extra DVD's that were ordered are
mailed from our facility to your funeral home or client family. You never
have any labels or jackets to print. We take care of all that!
