What is a Memorial Tribute Video?Memorial Tribute Video

More than a simple slideshow, a Legacy DVD memorial tribute video is a stunning collection of photographs and memorabilia woven with beautiful royalty free music, choice of background themes and photo captions. We offer our presentations in two formats (DVD & MPEG2 for compact flash cards or USB thumb drives).

Why offer Memorial Tribute Videos?

By offering this service to your families, you are demonstrating your commitment to personalizing the funeral service, creating a treasured family heirloom, as well as and celebrating a life lived.  Not only do they generate additional income, but they also increase your customer loyalty and word of mouth business.

Create a video in 3 easy steps!

Step 1 Scan the client family's photos and upload the folder of images to us.

Step 2 We produce the the memorial tribute video and then email you a link to download.

Step 3 Download the finished production and transfer to media of choice for viewing.

That's all there is to it! We'll ship you the final personalized DVD(s) to the funeral home.

When do I show the video?

Most times the video is shown during the course of the visitation. It is programmed to replay once finished playing. It can also be offered as part of an aftercare remembrance or even to families your funeral home has previously serviced.

How do I show the video?

Legacy DVD produces tribute videos in 2 different formats:

Memorial Tribute Video DVDIf the video is ordered in the standard DVD format, the presentation can be viewed with a standard TV and DVD player. Some funeral homes go all out, using a projector and pull down screen or a basic TV with built-in DVD player. Budget constraints and space requirements will dictate which setup you choose.

The second choice of formats is the mpeg version. With this format you never have to burn DVD's. Which means there is no software to learn, no DVD's to stock, and no DVD burner to purchase. File sizes are much smaller resulting in a faster download because there is no DVD menu required. You simply transfer the downloaded file onto an inexpensive and re-useable memory card and slide it into the display. It's that simple! And best of all, you still get the same quality as a DVD.

The MPEG version can be played on any Digital Picture Frame that is capable of playing mpeg2. With the explosion of digital picture frames that have hit the market in the last couple of years, yours choice of styles and colors are endless. Keep in mind that the compact flash version is for use in the funeral home only. The final copy that is shipped to the funeral home will be in the DVD format.
